Aysel Ozdemir, along with her husband and daughter, lost her life in a traffic accident while returning from prison to visit her imprisoned son-in-law. As a result, Ozdemir’s daughter, Badem Kaya, 38, and Aysel Ozdemir’s husband, Huseyin Ozdemir, who were travelling in the same vehicle, passed away. In addition, Mrs Ozdemir’s grandchildren Yusuf Kaya (12) and Furkan Kaya (5) were seriously injured.
Three people lost their lives, and two children were seriously injured in the accident on September 5, 2018, in the Sarkisla district, Sivas. The car with license plate 58 ER 320, used by Huseyin Ozdemir (66), hit from behind the truck belonging to the Sarkisla Municipality. In the accident, the injured people trapped in the vehicle were removed with the work of the fire brigade and medical teams. Unfortunately, Huseyin Ozdemir died at the scene. At the same time, his wife Aysel Ozdemir and his daughter Badem Kaya, who were taken to the Sarkisla State Hospital, died despite all the medical interventions.
Furkan Kaya (5) and Yusuf Kaya (12) were injured. It was stated that the family who had the accident were on their way back after the prison visit.
