Ibrahim Selvi was a school principal who was expelled from his profession and whose son was arrested. He died on September 30, 2020, unable to bear what he had been through. Working as a school principal in schools affiliated with the Afyonkarahisar Directorate of National Education, Selvi was expelled from his profession with a Decree-Law. Selvi’s son, who was prosecuted, had been in detention for four years when he died. Selvi, who was charged against both himself and his son, passed away before seeing the trial verdict. Unfortunately, the administration of Afyonkarahisar Prison did not allow his imprisoned son to attend his father’s funeral.

Selvi was an extraordinary school principal whose students brought medals to his city. He also arranged and organised a number of activities and projects in Afyonkarahisar, and the governor of city invited him and his students several times to his office.
