Biography

Suffering from lupus (*) due to the arrest of her academic husband Omer Sungur as part of Hizmet operations, Zeliha Sungur could not recover due to the effect of extreme sadness. She was taken to the intensive care unit for treatment, but despite medical interventions, she could not be saved. The prosecutor’s office did not allow Omer Sungur, who was forced to be a “confessor”, to attend the funeral. A month before Zeliha Sungur’s death, it was found out that she posted on her social media, quoted from Muhsin Yazicioglu (**): “Even if the cruelty is the grim reaper, I will always hold the truth. In holy paths, even death is delightful”.

After Mr Sungur’s arrest, the prosecutor forced him to be a “confessor” so that a list could be given to Mr Sungur, and he could claim that he knew those people in the list, and they all were Gulenists. It is a widespread method that the Erdogan regime uses to fabricate `evidence` to arrest Gulenists. Keeping tens of thousands of innocent teachers, doctors, nurses and more for years by the so-called Islamic regime!!!

*: Lupus is a condition that affects the immune system. It can cause problems with the skin, joints, kidneys and other organs.

**: Muhsin Yazicioglu was a Turkish politician and member of the Parliament of Turkey. He was the Great Union Party (BBP) leader and founder, a right-wing, nationalist-Islamist political party. He died in a mysterious helicopter crash.
