Yahya Ozcan was working at Bursagaz A.Ş, a subordinate of Bursa Municipality. After July 15, AKP municipalities started to dismiss people they saw as opposition, one by one, by calling them “members of the Hizmet Movement”. Yahya Ozcan was also one of the names put to the target. First he was unemployed. The chemist, who was depressed due to the financial and moral difficulties he experienced, died of a heart attack. Yahya Ozcan, who graduated from the Department of Chemistry at METU, was an engineer who graduated from the most prestigious university in the country and tried to serve his country.
