Biography

Yahya Bayat, one of the leading businessmen of Diyarbakir, was also the chairman of a NGO and a member of the board of directors of the DIGIAD Association. He was known for his philanthropy, and therefore became a target after July 15. The famous businessman, who was arrested in July 2017 despite suffering from severe heart disease, was able to withstand the prison conditions for only 8 months. He died in Diyarbakır Prison due to a heart attack.
