His wife, Tugba Erdogan, who gave birth just two months ago, had an accident and died in the Sorgun district of Yozgat while she was on her way to Ankara to meet Mehmet Resit in front of the prison and to take him back to their hometown after his release.

His wife, Tugba Erdogan, who gave birth just two months ago, had an accident and died in the Sorgun district of Yozgat while she was on her way to Ankara to meet him in front of the prison and to take him to their hometown.
A passenger bus hit the car driven by Tugba Erdogan from behind at the Sorgun Ataturk Boulevard Junction. Erdogan was thrown from the driver’s seat to the road by the accident’s impact. She was taken to Sorgun State Hospital by ambulance. However, despite all medical efforts, she could not be saved. She left behind a 2-month-old baby and a grieving husband. Tugba Erdogan was buried in Halikoy Town in Kadisehir, Yozgat.
