Teacher Kamuran Turgut was unfairly expelled and arrested by the regime with a Decree-Law. He died of a heart attack after he was released.

Kamuran Turgut, who was arrested and put in Silivri Prison after being dismissed from his profession, was imprisoned for one year despite his heart disease. Difficult prison conditions worsened his situation.

He had bypass surgery after his release, and the troubles and stress he was endured made him very sad. He died as a result of a heart attack while driving in the traffic in Umraniye, Istanbul. While Turgut’s vehicle crashed into the barriers, it was too late when the ambulance arrived. Turgut had three boys aged 3 and 7, the youngest of whom was two months old.
