Inci Eslem Dayan’s parents were teachers at a closed school in Hakkari. On August 16, 2018, she died in a traffic accident along with her mother Aslıhan Dayan and father Zeki Dayan. Dayan’s family was in the car coming from the opposite direction in the accident, involving an AKP congress bus.

As a result of the collision of the AKP congress bus from Van to Ankara and the car used by Zeki Dayan, Zeki Dayan and his wife Aslıhan Dayan and their daughter Inci Eslem Dayan, who were in the vehicle, passed away. Aslıhan Dayan’s husband, Zeki Dayan, had been teaching at a school closed by the KHK in Hakkari. A total of 5 people, including Dayan’s family, and Yadigar Handanoglu, Osman Handanoglu, lost their lives in the accident.
