A 25-year-old police officer who was earlier suspended from his job in Turkey’s post-coup crackdown shot himself dead two months after being reinstated to the office.
Erdem Gezer, a father of one from the eastern province of Bitlis, was temporarily removed from office over his alleged links to the Gulen movement.
Two months after he was reinstated to his job as a result of an administrative investigation, Erdem Gezer shot himself dead at his home on April 18.
