Ali Ayverdi  was arrested when he was a regional director of Eskisehir Surat Cargo. He was not able to help himself without help of somebody.  He has passed away after having brain tumor surgery.

58 years old Ali Ayverdi, regional Director of Surat Cargo, who was arrested in the Eskisehir because of the “witch hunt” launched against the Hizmet Movement. He passed away in the prison. Ayverdi was not referred to hospital for months during his stay in  the prison, although he was not able sustain his life without any help. Ayverdi suddenly got worse, had passed away after the brain tumor surgery.

When Ayverdi’s sentence was upheld on Supreme Court of  Appeal, he went back to prison to serve his remaining 3.5-month sentence.  The Ministry of Justice had previously been called by his relatives on social media to release Ali Ayverdi, who was suffering from memory loss and psychological problems.  Ayverdi’s relatives have announced that Ayverdi was only able to come to see his relatives with a wheelchair, they wanted Ayverdi to be released as soon as possible so that his treatment could be done.

 Applications for his treatment were rejected and authorities  said  “he can  get treatment after release”.  However, one month before the end of his sentence, he got worse and lost his life after the surgery he was taken to.  Ali Ayverdi, 58 years old, was the father of 2 children.
