Aysegul Akca, whose heart could not cope with what was done to her husband, the police chief, died as a result of a rupture of the aorta.
Aysegul Akca, 45, was the wife of Hayati Akca, who was arrested due to a witch hunt while he was the Bilecik Provincial Police Deputy Chief. Mrs Akca became ill due to her stress and suffered a stroke resulting from a ruptured aortic vessel and died.
Mr Akca was first expelled from his beloved job with a Decree-Law when he was the Deputy Chief of Police and then arrested in hate operations based on “slanderous” statements. Mrs Akca was very upset about the situation her husband was exposed to and became stressed, and psychological problems arose. Despite Mr Akca’s petition to the court several times about his wife’s deteriorating medical conditions and his request for release, this petition was not accepted. Finally, Aysegul Akca’s heart could not cope with these stressful struggles any longer, and on January 04, 2017, her aorta ruptured due to stress, and she passed away on the same day. Aysegul Akca left behind 2 sons, Ahmet Oguzhan and Kadir.
