Ayse Sahin could not visit her son for 16 months due to her illness. Her son Cuma Sahin was imprisoned in Usak Prison, and her last wish in her sickbed was to see her son. While waiting to be reunited with her son for months, Mrs Sahin passed away longing for her son, who had tears in his eyes and prayers in his tongue. Mr Sahin attended his mother’s funeral with special permission; however, his request to place the body with his hands was not accepted, and he was removed by the gendarmerie forcefully.
