Ayse Dogan was a teacher at the school that was shut down by the regime. She lost her job first, and then her work permit was revoked. The pains piled up every day; first, her husband was arrested and then her father died. Catching stomach cancer as a result of her the impediments she encountered, Ayse Dogan passed away in Bergama, Izmir. She left behind two children, aged 5 and 10. Dogan was buried in Izmir after the funeral prayer held at Kemalpasa Halil Efendi Mosque. Human Rights Activist and HDP Kocaeli Deputy Omer Faruk Gergerlioglu voiced the injustices suffered by Ayse teacher. He also announced the news of her death.
