Police officer Izzet Akdag worked at Osmaniye Police Station in Mersin. He allegedly committed suicide in the first weeks of 15 July.
Akdag was a modest police officer working at the Osmaniye Police Station in the Toroslar district of Mersin. He was investigated for allegedly being a Hizmet movement volunteer and was suspended. Although he was later reinstated, Akdag, the father of 3 children, committed suicide with a pistol in his vehicle two months after being reassigned. It was claimed that Akdag’s suicide was what he had experienced during the investigation process.
