One of the dozens of baseless cases initiated by the regime against the Hizmet Movement was the KPSS Case. Kadriye Irmak was first purged in her profession, then she was arrested as part of the KPSS investigations and spent four months in Ankara Sincan Prison. The young teacher, the mother of two children, got cancer due to the sadness she experienced. Irmak passed away when her illness could not be fully treated under prison conditions or fear of arrest again.
Were the questions really stolen?
In the KPSS Case, the court sentenced 69 of the defendants to 6 years and three months in prison for membership of an `armed terrorist organization`. In other words, in the KPSS case, NO defendant was punished for stealing questions because none of them had stolen any questions. In other words, the regime’s judges in their own court also confirmed that the regime slandered.
What is KPSS?
In many countries, the Selection Examination for Professional Posts in Public Organizations (KPSS) is used in Turkey. All pre-service service holders who want to be teachers, engineers, clerks, or cleaners in a state institution must enter an examination called KPSS after they graduate from an undergraduate program.
