While working day and night for her homeland, she was purged from her 13-year profession by the Decree-Law. With the arrest of her husband, Yakup Barut, a police officer like her, Mrs Barut had to shoulder the burden of her three young children. The difficulties she experienced led her to get pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, the treatment did not yield results, and Mrs Barut died at a young age.
