Fatma Kalem was unjustly taken into custody from the institution where she worked, handcuffed. She was dismissed from her profession and an investigation was started against her. Her husband, Servet Deniz Kalem, was the Chief of Police. Both were expelled and arrested after 15 July. The mother of 3 children, Fatma Kalem, could not fight the disease and died of cancer due to the trauma she experienced.
