Cemal Gurer passed away after he was diagnosed with cancer due to the poor conditions in the prison. Gurer had worked at various levels as an educator in Elazig for many years.

Cemal Gürer, who worked at various levels as an educator for many years in Elazig, survived the cancer he had previously suffered as a result of hard struggle. He fell ill again after being imprisoned. Gurer was arrested and imprisoned as part of congregation investigations during the state of emergency(OHAL). Gurer, whose illness relapsed due to the bad conditions in the prison, was taken to the hospital again. Gurer’s body could not endure what was going on anymore and he died after succumbing to the cancer.
